Up, up, up...

The sky is the limit - isn't it?

Newest

In my mind I got all these diffuse notions of great masterpieces of art that I want to create. But what is art? Art is difficult. I rarely end up with anything like what I imagined. But as I pursue becoming a better artist, I do, from time to time, shoot an exquisite photograph - and it makes it all worth it. Here are some of the photographs that I've shot during the last few years, years which represent the first steps of my artistic life.

Favourites

There are so many magnificent photographs and other visual artworks out there it leaves me at a loss for words. And they never cease to amaze me, no matter how many breathtaking pieces of art I behold. I want to see them all, and I want to keep them. They inspire me to work harder, they inspire me to make better pieces of art of my own. That's why I gather the very best in my favorites collection - so I can see them and enjoy them over and over again, to let them help me to be aware of the beauty or the emotions that they represent, and to let them inspire me in becoming a better artist.

Critiques

Critiques

A couple of days ago I made the poll "Are you going to use dA's new critique feature?". I, for one, am definitely going to use it. I just made a lot of my deviations open for critiques, and I'd appreciate it if you guys would give me some feedback. One thing I learned while studying photography is that critiques are great. I've learned lots from it.

And if any of you want a critique for any of your photographs, don't hesitate to notify me. I wrote a couple already, and I'd be glad to write one for you. And feel free to vote in the Critiques poll, anyway.

Moving to Ljan

I got the apartment I mentioned in my previous journal entry. So I'll be moving there within a month or two, with my friend Markus. The apartment is in Ljan, not far from the fjord, in Oslo. I look forward to it. The place offers a lot of photographic opportunities, it's really beautiful there. It'll be great.

Favorite music: My last.fm music profile
Passions: Music, writing, movies and photography.

What would life be without music? For me it would be a disaster. Not just playing myself, but just listening, can make my day so much better.

I want my life to go hand in hand with my creativity. I seek a career as a journalist, writer and photographer. I want to create text, photographs and music that can touch and change people... what more to say?
